Welcome!

 

Hi!  My name is Ms. Richardson and I will be teaching math, & science.  I am a Maine Girl, and grew up close by in Carmel.  I live in Hampden with my two sons Patrick & Gavin, a yellow lab named Levi, and a cat named Stella. Whenever I can, I love to be outdoors hiking, camping, running, biking, swimming, cross country skiing, and gardening.  When it is too cold or I have some quiet time, I LOVE to read, cook, and sing!  I have taught 3rd grade near Washington, D.C. and in Norfolk, VA, 4th grade in Virginia Beach, VA, and grades 2 & 3 at Weatherbee.  Welcome!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My name is Dawn Hussey and I have enjoyed teaching elementary children for the past  20 years.  I graduated from the University of South Florida and began my career in  Tampa, Florida.  During my beginning years of teaching I married my handsome husband  from Maine.  A few years later we moved to North Carolina where I continued teaching  for another eight years and completed my master’s degree.  When our beautiful daughter Jaclyn was born we decided to move to Maine to be closer to family.  For the  past five years I have been teaching in Maine.     

 

On weekends, summers, and holidays I enjoy spending time with my family.  One of our favorite things to do is bike ride on the carriage trails in Acadia.  We also like to hike, camp, and swim together.  We definitely enjoy the outdoors when we can.  We are always amazed at the beauty that surrounds us in this wonderful state!

I am absolutely thrilled to be continuing my career this year at Weatherbee School!  I am so excited to be here and can’t wait to get to know you and your child!
